WHY DO TYRES TURN BROWN?

Tyres turning brown is called blooming, and is a natural process, to be expected from the modern production of tyres. WHAT CAUSES TYRES TO TURN BROWN? Anti-ozonants – an organic compound added into the rubber mix to slow deterioration and prevent the surface from oxidising and keep the rubber pliable. To maintain pliable tyre sidewalls anti-ozonants continually migrate to the surface. Once on the outside of the tyre, the anti-ozonants oxidise, leaving the brown residue. HOW TO STOP TYRES TURNING BROWN? Keep the tyre sidewalls clean with an all purpose cleaner, such as G3 Pro Multicleaner, to remove the blooming when needed....
